What we do:

When do I need tire installation/mounting?

You’ll only need tire installation and mounting when you purchase new tires. Many different factors can impact the life and performance of your tires, but the three main indications you should keep in mind are tire age, tread wear, and heat exposure. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend replacing tires after about 6 years. Of course, you can always find specific guidelines for your vehicle’s OEM tires in your owner’s manual.

An excellent rule of thumb regarding tread wear is to check its height using a penny. Here’s how: with Lincoln’s head pointed toward the ground, insert the penny into a groove of the tire. If any portion of Lincoln’s head is covered by the tread, your tires are generally in good shape. If the tread does not reach his head, it may be time to replace your tires.

Additionally, these factors may indicate that it’s time for a new tire installation on your car:

  • You can see tread wear or damage on your tires
  • Your tires are older than 6 years
  • Your tires are exposed to extreme weather conditions
  • You feel vehicle vibrations above certain speeds
  • Your vehicle’s handling is generally poor
  • You feel your tires slipping in wet conditions
